pilgrimage to Santiago de compostela 2025

Save the date. Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela and discovering the local surroundings

Invitation from Fr. Ariel

Dear friends,

Throughout the centuries, the Holy Land, Rome, and Santiago de Compostela have stood as three of the most important pilgrimage destinations for Christians—especially during the Middle Ages—and they continue to hold deep spiritual and historical significance today.

I warmly invite you to join me on a spiritual and cultural pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela (Spain) and its beautiful surroundings.

We will have the opportunity to visit and pray at the tomb of the Apostle Saint James in the magnificent medieval cathedral. We’ll experience a taste of the Camino de Santiago, joining pilgrims who walk hundreds of kilometres across Europe to reach this sacred site. Our journey will also take us to significant locations such as Finisterre, Muxía, and Lugo.

Due to limited direct flight options, we will fly from Gatwick to Santiago on Monday 6th Oct. evening and spend four full days exploring Santiago and the surrounding area, including two-day trips. We will return to London on Saturday 11th Oct. morning after breakfast.

This is a Jubilee Year for the Catholic Church —a celebration that only occurs once every 25 years— I invite you to prayerfully consider joining me on this unique journey to one of the most important Catholic pilgrimage destinations.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

In Christ,
Fr. Ariel Beramendi (arielberamendi@rcaos.org.uk)
