The Mercy Evenings in Balham

Our lives are filled with noise, stress, and endless demands. We often feel overwhelmed, unsatisfied, searching for something more. But how do we find balance in such a chaotic world?
The answer lies in a personal relationship with the Risen Christ. Just as the disciples recognised Jesus when He broke bread 2,000 years ago, you can encounter Him today — in the Blessed Sacrament.

In 2023, right after a family pilgrimage to Medjugorje, a few of us shared the same dream: to create an evening of adoration open to everyone — including those who rarely set foot in a church.
Back in our parish in Balham, the Mercy Evenings were born.
From the very first night, they welcomed everyone — toddlers, families, and adults alike — into an atmosphere of grace and genuine encounter with God.

The Mercy Evenings are a special time to be in the presence of the Lord.

Our church is softly lit by candlelight, with live music to guide our worship and scripture passages that gently lead us into prayer.

And if you feel called to experience God’s forgiveness, Confession is available throughout the evening.

It is a night for a heart-to-heart encounter with Jesus, and you are very welcome to join us.
