£10,000 Mass and Hymn Book Appeal
Advent this year will see the introduction of a new translation of the Bible, with all our Mass Books needing to be replaced. Our hymn books are also becoming a little worn and used and would benefit from being replaced, which is not surprising given how often they have been handled on a weekly basis over the last [ten] years.
The total cost of cost of this exercise is around £11,000.
The Parish is running an appeal between the beginning of September and the start of Advent to raise these funds. As with the last time that the Parish ran a similar appeal, there is an opportunity for those who wish to sponsor the purchase of a complete set of books, being one copy of each of the six Mass books and one Hymnal, to then have an inscription added to the front of a hymnal. The cost of a complete set is broadly £35.00.
If you would like to sponsor a set of six Mass Books and one hymnal (at a cost of £35.00 for the set). please complete one of the forms that can be found in the porch and return to the Parish Office. Please note that we will only be accepting paper copies of the form, as they are all numbered to provide a reference for each donation.

Lectionary Appeal
The new translation of the bible means that our beautiful Lectionaries and Book of the Gospel will also need to be replaced.
There will be four new Lectionaries, instead of the current three, and both them and the new Book of the Gospels are larger in size with a clearer layout of the readings. They are also significantly more expensive. If one or more families would like to sponsor the purchase of one of these items (£200 for each Lectionary and £300 for the Book of the Gospels), please contact the Parish Office separately
